19 PCS. GENSE ALPACA SWEDISH FISH/COCKTAIL SET EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Description: For sale here from an old Denver estate of Swedish ancestry is a set of 19 pieces of Swedish GENSE Alpaca flatware. According to family members of this estate, this set (including 6 picks/6 seafood forks/6 knives/spreaders and one small sauce spoon) was used for eating sardines/ herring etc. These are alpaca or alpacca which is an alloy mixture of metals. However, each piece in this set is marked with an amount of gram which indicates that some silver was used in their production. The 19 pieces consists of: 6 two prong picks each of which is marked "Gense ALP 48 Gr" and "Sweden." Each is 5 1/2" long.6 fish forks marked "Gense ALP 24 Gr" and "made in Sweden." Each is 6" long.6 knives/spreaders marked "Gense ALP 24 Gr" and "made in Sweden." Each is 6 1/2" long1 Spoon marked "Gense ALP" and a gram total which I cannot read. It measures 6" long. This set is not in a box, but the pieces are in good antique condition. I see no damage other than a few scratches from usage over the years. Each piece could use polishing. Listed and sold "as found." I have liquidated estates for over 40 years.
