Description: 1940s vintage Whirling Dervish novelty print rayon dress. This is such an amazing print and it was hard to photograph. It looks so good in person. “Whirling Dervish” is an old term that had been used to describe a very busy person but they are actually Turkish Sufi dancers. The dress is black and the dancers really stand out in a true orange color. The dress has a side metal zipper as well as a small zipper at the back neck. It has a gathered bodice seam and two pleats at the waist. There is a small hole near the waistband in back and I found one other small hole in back at the hem.
