Description: This 1957A $1 Silver Certificate Star Note is a must-have for any serious collector of US paper money. With its distinctive design and historic significance, this note is a true treasure from America's past. It features the iconic portrait of George Washington on the front, and the Great Seal of the United States on the back. The circulated condition adds to its charm and character, making it a unique addition to any collection. The denomination of this note is $1, and it was issued in 1957, making it over 60 years old. It has not been graded, but its quality is evident in its circulated state. This Silver Certificate is a rare find, and a great opportunity for collectors to add to their collection. Don't miss out on this chance to own a piece of American history! The above is AI generated. This is what I know. It is from a collection that belonged to my FIL. I would describe it as lightly circulated as there appears to be evidence of a wallet crease as well as a horizontal crease but otherwise no issues and pretty nice. It is also a Star note which I understand makes its it somewhat rare and considering it is a Silver Certificate, it is already rare. I have not cleaned it. I doubt my FIL cleaned it. It is from a collection of my late FIL who had a connection with a local bank to purchase these kinds of bills, coins, rolled coins, etc. He also hunted them down at auctions and yard sales. I believe he did this for the last 40 years maybe longer. See photos for condition. I am not a collector so I really don’t know what else I can tell you. And the coin, bill or roll that is pictured is what you get. Most will come in cases or top loaders if it is also pictured in a case or top loader.
