Description: 1964-65 NEW YORK CITY World's Fair - Hong Kong Pavilion - E. Snyder: When Hong Kong was still a British enclave, it established a pavilion at the 1964-65 World's Fair. The 1964/1965 New York World's Fair was the third major world's fair to be held in New York City. Hailing itself as an "universal and international" exposition, the fair's theme was "Peace Through Understanding", dedicated to "Man's Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe"; American companies dominated the exposition as exhibitors. This Photochromatic postcard informs on its reverse "The exotic flavor of the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong is reflected in a pavilion which offers oriental food and entertainment and examples of native industry, in a setting blending modern and traditional Chinese architecture. Eldridge Snyder was the architect for the pavilion. World's Fair Post Cards by Dexter, West Nyack, NY. No. 83715-B. Dist. By Water Wonderland Card Co., Grand Rapids, Michigan. WF-36
