1995 ESPN FOOTBALL ANNOUNCERS CARDS [from ESPN the MAGAZINE]

Description: This is a Base Set of six (06) cards straight out of ESPN the Magazine from back in 1995. All six (06) cards have been seen and examined by PSA. Now ... here's where it gets a little strange. PSA authenticated and graded two (02) of the cards -- Art Donovan (HOFer) at 7.00 and Sterling Sharpe 9.00 (off-Center). The other four (04) proved to have been 'authenticated' but not graded. The reason offered by PSA for this differing outcome had been that the other four (04) cards had displayed 'signs of tampering.' Setting aside how slightly miffed I had been by PSA's veiled accusation, I think anyone would have to ask what exactly is 'consistent' with any outcome, where any card ,is deemed 'authentic' by PSA -- but ALSO -- supposedly shows 'signs of tampering.' Why would PSA bother to authenticate such a card? If I live to be 100 .... :-) Anyway, I'm not asking for much here ... and you'll be doing me a great favor with your purchase !! Enjoy !!
