Description: Two carte de visite portraits of an ‘Italian type.’ In one portrait the man is standing beside a large basket of rocks or slates. In the other portrait he’s carrying the same basket on his back. Photographed by Carlo Ponti of Venice. Condition: please see scans. Both prints present general signs of age and some blotchiness in the area of the background but are otherwise in reasonably good condition, with good tonal range. One mount is crisp, clean and firm. The other mount presents some yellowing recto and verso but is otherwise also in good condition. Dimensions: the dimensions of a standard carte-de-visite are approximately 4.1" by 2.5" (10.5 cm by 6.3 cm). All photographs are securely packaged using recycled cardboard. I go to the post office at least twice a week, usually on Monday and Thursday. I'm happy to combine postage on multiple purchases.Orders over £100 will only be shipped via registered mail, which costs £5 extra.
