The original 1949 Ford had radically new “slabsides”, integrated body and fenders, independent front suspension and rear quarter windows that opened. An all new Forty-Nine car made its world debut at the 2001 North America International Auto Show in Detroit. The Forty-Nine concept melds together many of the custom designs of the 50’s, as well as cues and shapes from some of the Italian designed Ghia concepts of the 50’s. Car attached to plastic base inside cardboard outerbox with clear plastic viewing panels (one section of plastic pulling away from box over time). Made in China. For ages 14+. Officially approved by the Ford Design Team.
