Description: 4FT. SURF FISHING LEADER (3 PACK) This 2-piece (wire-mono) bottom rig is hand tied with: 10/0 Mustad circle hook, wide gap, non-stainless steel, inline 1 ft. (12 inches)- 175 lb. nylon coated wire section (49 strand stainless steel) 1.3 mm x 14 mm copper double barrel crimps on wire section 3 ft. (36 inches)- 200 lb. clear monofilament section; tag ends heat treated 1.5 mm x 10 mm aluminum double oval crimps on mono section 150 lb. brass/stainless steel snap swivel on mono section for surf weight attachment (weight not included) 8 red beads on mono section (message me if you want to substitute bead color with white, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, or clear beads) 175 lb. brass barrel swivels connect the wire and mono sections; the mono section ends with another terminal swivel (also 175 lb. test) that you can tie directly to your mainline or use a snap swivel connection These rigs have a lightweight build but can be used to target bull reds, small sharks, and possibly running crevalle jack in light to moderate surf conditions.These rigs work well with either cut or live bait. This bottom rig model is legal/compliant for Texas shark fishing. These are tied using leader material that I trust and have used myself for years. I have been making my own fishing leaders since 2007 and have never experienced a failed crimp connection.
