57" Tall Gothic Antique Stations of the Cross, Set of 14 Oak Wood Framed

Description: Special note: These are antique frames, dating to the 1800's; the print-on-canvas artwork is new. Description of item for sale: This antique set of stations of the cross dates to the mid/late 1800's. We believe they originated in France although we have no specific provenance. The elegant Gothic revival frames are oak wood finished to a dark oak color. The frames are complex and detailed with classic Gothic styling. The paintings themselves are new prints on stretcher-mounted canvases. The illustrations are in new, unused condition. The frames show very minor chips and scratches in a few places as well as several (2 or 3) small missing trim parts and one finial that doesn't quite match the others. Please examine the frame photos carefully. As we do with all of our woodwork, we finished the frames with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain their beauty for years to come.
