6L6GC GENERAL ELECTRIC MATCHED PAIR TUBES NOS NIB *eTRACER* (1978)

Description: Why Buy From Us?: Why should you purchase your tubes from Lakeland Music? We utilize a unique testing process, using a combination of vintage tube testers for shorts and gas checks, and precise modern testing equipment that is both expensive and time consuming to fully verify the meaningful electrical values of every tube we list. We also audio test every tube in one of our many amplifiers, both instrument and hi-fi, for sound quality. Our tubes may be more expensive than some big retailers, but when you work with us you know exactly what you are getting, dispelling the myth that buying tubes from eBay is a gamble, or that there is "only junk on eBay". We've seen this opinion on hobbyist forums for many years, and took it to heart. We want to be the exception to this viewpoint. You are bidding on (1) MATCHED PAIR GENERAL ELECTRIC 6L6GC NOS VACUUM TUBES NOS \ NIB condition, very rare find these days. Well matched pair, within 6% plate resistance \ 9% current draw \ 3% Gm \ 3% Mu. Good flashing, clear glass, very high quality tubes, and testing well above nominal. These tubes, along with RCA black plates were factory standard equipment in vintage Fender amps. Date codes of "NM" are matching as well, and indicate production in October, 1978. This type was the same construction from the early to mid 60's all the way up to the late 80's, and shortly after the Owensboro, KY factory was shut down in 1993. Tested and matched on both our eTracer (curve tracer) and Hickok 800A, with results for mA, Rp, Gm, and Mu, gas and shorts. Corners test simulates real world variations in plate current when voltage spikes naturally occur in the circuit. They are also audio tested in a 1963 Fender Tremolux, and sound great. Remember to bias your amp (If needed) with a qualified technician when changing your power tubes. eTracer: Tube #1 - (108% Current Draw \ 101% Plate Resistance \ 98% Gm \ 99% Mu) mA = 43.44 Rp = 1725 Gm = 4608 Mu = 7.9 Corners = Pass Tube #2 - (99% Current Draw \ 107% Plate Resistance \ 95% Gm \ 102% Mu) mA = 39.66 Rp = 1829 Gm = 4486 Mu = 8.2 Corners = Pass Nominal = 4700 \ Minimum Good = 2800No Shorts or Leaks We have more great vintage rare tubes listed right now in our store, check our store for details. Note to customer: Returns: For most of our items, we provide a 30 day return policy for our items, as long as they are in 100% the same condition as when we listed it. Past 30 days, we cannot offer any guarantee a vintage item will continue to function. If you have a problem within 30 days, please contact us immediately so we can help you resolve it. Please keep any boxes, pins or labeling intact. If an item is returned altered, damaged, or different from how we listed it, we may charge a restocking fee depending on the condition of the returned product. Even if the damage is impossible to avoid, it will significantly devalue the tube, so practice extreme caution when opening boxes and handling the tube(s). Test Results: First, we test all of our tubes, in both a calibrated tube tester, and perform a live audio test in guitar, hifi and vocal amplifiers. Our testing practices are stringent, and have given us well over a decade of satisfied clients. Still we cannot guarantee exact test result numbers or data, nor can we foresee the results you will have using our parts in your equipment. Our recommendation is to contact us before purchasing so we can do our best to help you find a good match for your needs. We do not offer partial refunds or returns based on test data or test numbers. NOS Tubes: "NOS" is a search term many buyers use on eBay to search for vintage tubes. This is a widely criticized word that many electronics experts and hobbyists \ enthusiasts do not like to hear unless the item is brand new, sealed in the box. When it comes to listing as a seller, sometimes to match your product with a buyer who may be looking for your item, but doesn't always know the proper terms to search, you must use the terminology most used by the buyer for the product they are looking for. Many tube buyers only know vintage tubes by the term "NOS" and will not type "vintage" when searching for what they are looking for. Therefore, when we list "NOS" in the title, we are only describing a vintage tube. When a tube is new in box, we will combine that with the term "NIB", or "New In Box". We will also list that the item is "NIB", "NOS", or "new in box", when a vintage item meets a certain threshold of visual quality combined with test data for it's age and type. This still may show signs of handling, marks, dirt, dust, rust, patina,or tarnish. This is normal for items stored for many decades in sometimes less than ideal climates. These items also have been understandably handled and changed hands many times over their life. This usually results in less than perfect cosmetic condition, but by no means indicates the item is used. Most audio experts are in 100% agreement on this. We hope this clears up the title term NOS for some buyers who have or will inquire about this. We are not trying to misrepresent our items, we are simply attempting to put our listings into the hands of those who want to see them. Performance Of Vintage Items: We cannot guarantee a vintage item will perform the same with or in your equipment as it did in ours, or that a vintage item will continue to function once it is used. We list our items honestly and accurately as possible, many times the items we are selling are 50-80 years old.
