Description: This listing is for a hard-to-find right-handed 7-club set of antique vintage hickory clubs from the 1920's. These clubs were all made in the UK (mostly Scotland) and are made of rustless metal (stainless steel). There is a 34 1/2" heavy D 4 swingweight Putter, a 35 3/4" length 48* Loft C 9 swingweight Niblick, a 35 3/4" 44* D 2 Mashie Niblick, a 36 3/4" 41* D 5 Mashie Niblick, a 37 1/4" 37* D 5 Mashie, a 37 3/4" 29* D 9 Iron and a 38 1/4" 26* D 5 flanged sole Mid Iron. Nice loft separation and good weight on these. These are all in good clean condition. Most have their apparently original hickory shafts. The shafts are generally a straight lot (several minor bends) and they are crack free. Like most as found hickory irons, there will be some play at the hosels and they will need to be re-set for play. Grips range from missing to good vintage condition. Please look at the multiple zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. You do the work, and they will make a great balanced play set. If you are considering playing with this set, while I see no issues with the hickory shafts (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 10-pound 42x6x6 box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay takes almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). Because of the high dollar value there is a handling fee.
