Description: Vintage set of four small cocktail or appetizer serving trays and seven round coasters with their covered storage box, made in the 1950's by the Alfred E. Knobler company. Each of the trays and coasters are identical, with a colorful Egyptian motif depicting heiroglyphics and ancient Egyptian imagery. They're supposedly made of pressed papier mache, but are hard and firm like a plastic composition. The backs are all marked in red "ALFRED E. KNOBLER - ALCOHOL PROOF - JAPAN". Each tray measures 8.25" long by 5" wide by .5" tall. Each round coaster is 4" in diameter by .25" tall. The trays are in very good shape with no cracks or chips and just have some age appropriate finish wear along the rims. The coasters are somewhat yellowed with age and have some wear to them. Get these Eyptian Revival novelties for your next cocktail party or King Tut fest. Bid to win.
