Description: Vintage MCM American Pottery Avocado Green Ribbed Pedestal Vase Planter 7.5" H Beautiful 1950's American Pottery (OH) Pedestal VASE or PLANTER. 7.5" Tall and 3.25" across top and weighs 1 lb. 6.4 oz. Avocado green glaze with great ribbed textural design. This piece was also made with the horizontal bands at bottom finished in gold and those would have the Shafer marking on bottom. This piece is unmarked. A little history: Any pottery found today marked (23k gold guaranteed) by the G.C. Shafer Company, Zanesville OH, was also actually made by American Bisque in Williamstown, or by American Pottery in Marietta.
