Description: This is a rather rare putter because it has a wood mallet head, is center shafted and has three (3) large lead plugson the back of the club which were designed to add weight to the putter. The bottom of the club has a full sized brass plate which was apparently added later on because phillips head screws were used to attach it.. The face has scored lines and the head has been stained. This is a " Schenectady Style " putter which was very popular and famous in the early 1900's.The name of the maker is unknown but I included a photo of a very similar putter which was made by J H Hutchison " one of the finest club makers of his day ".That particular club is valued at $ 450. by Pete Georgiady, the author of " Wood Shafted Golf Club Value Guide ". This club is in excellent condition relative to age and wear, with the exception of the grip which is a little worn. The length is 34 inches. I'm listing this club at $ 300. because of it's rarity, excellent condition, and unusual style. All offers are appreciated. Thanks, Ed
