Hilt is 4 1/2" in length. Blade is marked R W on ricasso. Original Wood Sheath, held together with brass escutions on sides. Beautifully carved with shield design. Has R H W original brass plate. Heart shaped with Arrow motif. Big orig brass belt loop, attached to back of sheath. Very Fine antique condition. No major damage. Overall wear is consistent. Heavy at 1.2 pounds, in Sheath is 1.7 pounds. I believe it dates 1750 - 1830. Possible use in French & Indian War, and American Revolution War. Just my opinion. Beautiful Example.
