Description: Unusual Old Antique Iron Bird Cage Mid-Century American, Iron, Modern Geometrical Dome Ceiling, large swing access door, Sits on ornate stand Measures approx. Total cage on stand measures 73" high just over 6' tall x 22" diameter, Cage area alone is 22" diameter x 36" high, stand base is 37" tall This bird cage is phenomenally unique, I've never seen another one like it. It does have a couple of flaws other than normal wear. It may have been dropped at one time in its life, as the top ring is not perfectly round (see pic 10) this is only visible by looking down on cage, when on stand its not noticed, but could be bent back in place with proper tool & strength. Also one of the geometric loops encircling top has a crack (see pic 9) I assume it could be welded, however, since cage is so tall it's also not noticeable & does not affect use. Color is not original, looks to have been painted a few times over its life, as I can see white under black coat Overall in excellent vintage condition, however along with above mentioned, also shows normal wear & aging, as should be expected with antique bird cages, Most recently used as interior design décor in staging model homes, exact age US SELLER *Packed With Perfection - One of the best packers on eBay!
