Description: I'm pleased to offer this "Antique" L.F. & C. Wood Handle TABLE KNIFE It measures 9-1/4" long overall. The handle is 3-1/2" long & the blade is 5-3/4" long. This early example features a thin, full tang carbon steel blade with riveted wood handles. What is unique is the 3-LEAF CLOVER INLAY in the smooth rounded wood handles (see images). A barely discernible incise stamped maker's mark in one side of the blade reads: "L.F. & C. / Universal / Made in USA" (see image). The Landers, Frary & Clark Co. (1865-1965) was a New Britain, Connecticut housewares manufacturer. With no inordinate nicks in the blade & an overall aged patina; the (missing bolster) handle remains nice & tight. This early Americana "L.F. & C. UNIVERSAL" Tableware Knife is in overall, Good Condition!
