Description: Antique Wood Mortar And Pestle Lignum Vitae 18th Century Farmhouse Primitive. With pestle measures 11 5/8" tall. With mortar only 6.75" tall x 5" across top and 4.5" across the bottom. Lots of good natural base wear and natural wear throughout from age and use. Pestle only is 9.25" long x 2.5" wide across bottom. Pestle has a split with missing wood going down from edge of turned top, and another piece missing from side edge. This is old wear areas as it is all worn naturally around these areas and has probably been like this for over 100 years. Mortar has a minor very thin split in wood towards bottom and going up but it doesn't go through to other side and it is a very minor spot I am mentioning to be as accurate as I can.
