Description: ANTIQUE Victorian 1800s Porcelain Scenic Relief MATCH SAFE Jewelry TRINKET DISH This listing is for a lovely Staffordshire style porcelain match safe / trinket box / jewelry chest with the original lid. The underside of the lid has grooves for match striking. Beautifully detailed with a woodland countryside scene featuring a girl embracing a lamb or deer. The girl is in a victorian dress with black hair, seated among the trees. The base of the box has some pre-fire engraved markings that may be attributed to the artist or maker, I was unable to read them properly. Condition is listed as very good plus, zero chips, zero cracks, zero structural damage to the box or lid. Minor general notes of age and wear to the paint. Overall presentation is beautiful.
