Description: I am offering for sale this Antique Vintage W. Butcher 1/2" Gouge Carpenters Woodworkers Tool Inv#CR80 This gouge is marked on W. Butcher Cast Steel (see photos). The the handle has typical wear and scars, but it is in good condition. The gouge blade is tight and secure and in excellent user condition.(see photos). I always suggest sharpening to bring it back to optimal use. Blade measures approx., 9 L x 1/2" W. Strong wooden handle has a nice feel and patina. It is in "as found" condition right out of a carpenters work shop. It would clean up nicely. Overall measures 13" L and weighs 6oz. (see photos) A nice strong W.
