Description: This is an antique firkin or wooden bucket with its lid. This one has Shaker style bands held on with nails and pegs for the bent wood handle. It has been varnished, the lid is split, and the handle is cracked but overall it is in nice condition, as shown. This probably dates to the late 19th century from here in Maine or New England.
