Description: Authentic Ansonia New York Clock Co., Porcelain "Winnepeg" Cobalt Case, Hand Painted Florals, Gold Gilt, 100% Original Rare Ansonia clock aquired long ago. Downsizing fine estate, now on offer. Owned by family timepiece expert who regularly maintained collection in good running order. We know nothing of this gorgeous clock's complete working condition & therefore cannot guarantee it's running order. 🍃 Functionality:That said, with it's brass key, both front winding mechanisms checked & fully wound. We gently advanced the second hand to the 1/2 hour position (6 o'clock) and immediately heard the gears turning & one bell strike chime. The correct number of bell strikes occurred at the 12 o'clock position as well. We don't hear any ticking ..should we? The hands advanced from 9am to 11:30 pm is all we observed about it's mechanical function. Displayed, maintained in a non-smoking, child & pet free environment. 🍃 Correct Ansonia signature stamps on interior brass timepiece. "Winnepeg" stamped below on exterior porcelain. Royal Bonn or other porcelain manufacturer? We could not locate another Winnepeg porcelain case online, but one photo. See all detailed photos please. No backplate. 🍃 Royal Bonn? Porcelain "Winnepeg" Case is exceptional: no issues, no past repair. We see no crazing lines or issues within the deeply rich cobalt blue nor delicate hand-painted flowers nor generously applied gold gilt. Crystal dial cover, porcelain dial & hands, all clean .. no issues, loss nor scratches. Haven't cleaned anything; some dust deposits seen w/camera flash enhanced magnification & other highly magnified areas of cobalt that do not exist, i.e., an darker ink blue, or not visible to naked eye. 🍃 Authentic Victorian era clock that will have typical age related surface minor inconsistencies, i.e., brass oxidation. Here, all we see & admire is a deeply rich, lux cobalt blue ground color w/an intact glaze, free of crazing, w/color intensity that spectactularly "pops" under focused light as seen within it's amazing photo's provided; camera flash on.
