Description: Rare AT&T / NCR Model 9933 VESA computer made in the USA and Germany probably early 1990's. Ready to go. Super clean and no yellowing or fading to the paint or plastic- near museum quality! Comes with fresh (11/2024) install of Windows 3.1 and DOS 6.22 fully configured. NOTE: the 5.25" floppy drive would not read any of my discs. When I put a disc in it comes out covered in dust so it definitely needs cleaning, possibly repair too. The 3.5" floppy drive and the CD ROM drive are working well as is the 240MB hard drive which will boot to the DOS command prompt in 30 seconds. If you type "win" at the DOS prompt Windows 3.1 will start in about 15 seconds- see video. This is set up to be a retro gaming machine so for testing installed some shareware and abandoware games and they work well- see the video. Games are Raptor Call of the Shadows, Arkanoid (like Breakout), and YS which is similar to Zelda 8 bit RPG type game. Also a few others. In addition am including a CD ROM with about 100 or so other vintage DOS games and utilities on it- some will work, some will need tweaking to work, some won't work correctly on this setup. Sound drivers and mouse drivers are correctly set up for both DOS and Windows. Hard drive activity LED is working as is the power LED. The motherboard is super clean. Has 6 ISA slots and two of them are the extended VLB type. The 3.7 volt BIOS battery that was soldered to the motherboard was long dead but there was NO leakage. I carefully removed the battery without affecting the motherboard at all. Then soldered some wires onto the old battery tabs and made extension to a standard 3.7 volt coin style lithium battery. It can easly be replaced if needed, battery is taped to the inside of the case. Or if you want to get the original barrel style 3.7 volt battery you could solder it back onto the motherboard and it would look just like it did when new. One 4MB 72 pin RAM module is installed and there are three open RAM slots for memory upgrades. Motherboard has socket for an Intel Overdrive Processor so you can very easily upgrade the CPU to a faster more powerful one. Specs: - CPU - 486sx running at 33Mhz - RAM - 4mb on one 72 pin stick - Hard Drive - Conner 240MB IDE - Video Card - Paradise PVGA1A-JK WD, marked 256K. standard 15 pin VGA out - Sound card - Soundblaster AWE64 CT4500 - modem - ISA card, untested, not set up (probably good but included as-is) - 3.5" 1.44MB standard floppy drive - working well - CD ROM - LG CRD-8483B- tray opens and closes smoothly, reads my burnt CDs, no issues - 5.25" 1.22MB floppy drive - NOT READING ANY OF MY DISKS - PS/2 mouse port, PS/2 keyboard port, 2x serial port, and parallel port - Joystick port on the sound card As shown in the video this currently boots up pretty fast and runs DOS and Win 3.1 very smoothly. Due to age it's being sold as-is and as a vintage collectible- obviously can't give any warranty but if you run into any problems will do all I can to help. Will be carefully packed with bubble wrap and/or styrofoam. Monitor, mouse, and keyboard are not included. You will need monitor with standard 15 pin plug, a PS/2 mouse, a PS/2 keyboard, and amplified speakers (or headphones/earbuds) for sound. If you need a power cord will include one if requested. --------------------------------------------------- This will ship by either USPS or Fed Ex Ground, not sure which at this point.
