Description: This is an opportunity to own a very scarce coin of Augustus minted in 25BC in Aezanis, Phrygia. This is the same Augustus, mentioned in the Bible, and the coin is struck in bronze, and in the exact condition you see pictured. This coin was minted only a couple of years after he took the title of Augustus. It features a protrait of Augustus on the obverse with no legend and Zeus on the reverse with legend. Grading is subjective. In my opinion, this coin is VG/F but a little closer to VG. There are only 13 specimens noted in RPC with only 7 being in the hands of private collectors. I checked and there is currently no other example of this coin available online.
