Description: I own a specialty advertising company, now in our 45th year in business - and I worked in the industry for many years prior to starting our own company. Over the years we have collected quite an array of logoed gifts. We are now semi-retired and offering many of them on eBay. Among our better high-end suppliers of custom cast items, including belt buckles, was a supplier named Jadco. While going through very old boxes of samples and salesman's sample kits I happened upon a supply of various items from Jadco. Among the find is this old salesman sample kit from the 1980's. The kit features three different buckles: * Screen printed and clear coated one for Intel. * Cast one for a company called "Camus". * Cast one with the supplier name, Jadco. this one has a portion of a belt attached. These are in a very nice metal clam shell case that has a velour cover. The outside of the case is in great shape. The inside lid has a silk covering and as you can see from my photos, there are a couple of discoloration spots. The case size is: 7" x 4.25" x 1.25" closed. The kit is quite substantial, weighing in at just under a pound. The kit and sample are from the mid 1980's. I know that because: A. The box with the samples contained several items marked with the Jadco ASI number. (Advertising Specialty Institute). Every industry supplier is assigned a specific number. Initially four digits were used, but as the industry proliferated we had to go to a five digit designation. Existing companies just added a zero to their designation. That occurred in the mid 1980's. Here Jadco is still using the old system. B. Secondly, the box where this was located was from the mid 1980's. Some of the Jadco were specifically dated in the mid 1980's. Although over 30 years old, this belt buckle kit is in good condition. This is an excellent gift for anyone who collects old salesman sample kits or belt buckles.
