Description: This is a rare copper coin from China's Tang dynasty, with the character "Yuanbao" inscribed on it. It was minted in the year 760 and is considered a highly valuable and sought-after collectible for coin enthusiasts. The coin is in its original state and has not been certified for authenticity. It is a unique addition to any coin collection and a reminder of China's rich historical legacy. Deyi Yuanbao Although the Tang Empire reached its peak during the Tianbao period of Emperor Xuanzong Li Longji, the Tang Dynasty began to decline. In November of the 14th year of Tianbao (755), An Lushan and Shi Siming rebelled against the Tang Dynasty, and the An-Shi Rebellion broke out. In the second year of Qianyuan (759), the rebel general Shi Siming killed An Lushan's son An Qingxu, proclaimed himself "Emperor of Great Yan" in Fanyang, and usurped An Lushan's Great Yan regime. In June of the first year of Shangyuan (760), Shi Siming destroyed the bronze Buddha in Luoyang to cast the "Deyi Yuanbao" coin, which was circulated at the price of one hundred Kaiyuan Tongbao coins. However, due to military disadvantages, Shi Siming began to believe that "Deyi" was an ominous sign. After only a few months of casting, he ordered the withdrawal of the coins and recast them into "Shuntian Yuanbao" until the An-Shi Rebellion was quelled. After the rebellion was quelled, the Tang government ordered the abolition of the coins and "the casting of Buddha coins will be resumed." Judging from the currency in circulation at the time, Shi Siming did have certain economic and military strength. The Deyi Yuanbao coin is exquisitely cast and the unearthed quantity is extremely rare. It is hard to see even in Luoyang. There is a saying in the coin world that "it is easy to get Shuntian, but it is hard to get Deyi", which shows that it is very rare. Except for the one with the moon pattern on the back, the other ones are rare, and the one with the four moons on the back can be called the great treasure of ancient coins.
