Description: Chinese Chest on Legs Wood Brass Small Storage Cabinet with Lock China Vintage Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage Chinese chest or cabinet on legs. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This small cabinet has brass hinges, drawer pulls, and other hardware details. It has a paper-lined compartment which is accessed via a hinged door that drops down; this door has a latch with a fish-shaped lock, and the lock has its key (the key is not shown in the photos, so if you need a photo of it, please ask). There also is a drawer below the aforementioned compartment. The upper cabinet piece lifts off of the lower legs piece; the pieces are not attached to one another. Including the cabinet and the legs, this item measures approximately 25 1/4 inches tall, 15 1/8 inches wide, and 10 7/8 inches deep from front to back. It weighs 17 pounds 10.9 ounces, unpacked. This vintage cabinet would be a great addition to an Asian decor. Identification This piece of furniture is from a Northern California estate collection of Chinese art. The exact age of this vintage item is not known. Condition The cabinet looks very good overall, with light wear from use. There is minor color fading. There is a scratch on the back side, as shown; there are some other fine scratches and very minor dings. There are minor leg splits, with an example area shown. The lock and key are functional.
