Description: Striking pair of Japanese temple jars / ginger jars for your home of executive office. These handsome Chinoiserie jars make quite a statement on any mantle or console table and feature a cobalt blue transferware pattern of flowers (Chrysanthemum?) and swirled leaves and a cherry blossom print on the edging of the lids. These beautiful jars, made in Japan and purchased in the 1960's in Okinawa and are of an unknown manufacture and date. In excellent condition; no structural damage or chipped paint, one chip along the top edge of one jar, which cannot be seen with the lid on (see last photo for reference). These lovely jars measure aprox. 20" in height and are 9" in width and weigh 8 pounds each.
