Description: Large size clockwork wheel which when wound rolls and spins a sparking mechanism inside which lights up different coloured celluloid windows in the wheel's perimeter. In 13 years I have never seen another. I think the key printed on one side might be a trade mark of Distler. 11 cm diameter by 4cm wide. Interestingly, the internal faces of the sides of the wheel are covered with a friction material and both sides of the motor have two radial arms; on the end of which are 4 flints which make contact with the wheel sides.. The motor is free to move sideways so that alternatively the flints on the rotating arms on the motor make contact with the sides of the wheel. I think the flints on one side are too worn to work, but the other ones work as shown. An interesting, innovative and effective toy in the dark. Comes with key which needs to be inserted in one of the openings in the side - which is a bit fiddly as the motor is free to rotate inside.Please note in the EU that ebay stipulates that buyers are responsible for costs associated with import as we the seller cannot determine these.
