Description: This early 1900s token (face value: 25¢) is from Romain Meche & Son in Arnaudville, Louisiana. The obverse names the business and town, and the reverse has the words GOOD FOR 25¢ IN MERCHANDISE. The diameter is 26 mm (1"), and the composition is gilt brass. [10142Z] This token is in extremely fine condition, with very light actual wear (if any), with light toning and minimal soiling, and it is bright, with a very good gold color. This is a very attractive example of this token. The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description. NOTE: The actual token has more detail, is much lighter in color (with a much better color), is much brighter, and is much more attractive than in the photos. Payment must be received within ten days of close of auction. Shipping (First Class Mail with Tracking and Delivery Confirmation), $5.00 in the U. S. Combined shipping on multiple purchases is available.
