Early American Coin Silver Tea Spoon A. Armstrong Philadelphia c 1817-1831

Description: Coin Silver Table Serving Spoon Allen Armstrong Philadelphia Pennsylvania with IWG mark c1817-1831 JLC monoPresented is an elegant Early American coin silver serving spoon made and marked for silver by Allen Armstrong working in Philadelphia Pennsylvania c1817-1831. I have included pictures of my research in the photos above. This elegant serving Coffin Fiddle end spoon has a great down-turned rounded end handle with short shoulders and a light engraved mixed letter script monogram of what I believe to be CGK or CLK. It is in beautiful condition with only a slight bend of the handle, some dings, some minor tip ware and some light scratches from gentle use and care. It is a fantastic addition for the silver collector with an eye for early American Silver artisans as well as a great addition for almost any table or settingI have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions.Measure: Inches by 6 1/8” inches long, 1 1/8” inches across bowlWeight: .5 ounce on my postal scale or 14 gramsMark: marked for Allen Armstrong working in Philadelphia Pennsylvania c1784-1832.
