Description: ‘Eliza’ is a large Baby Carriages Ltd “Rambler” rocking horse on a safety stand, produced in Liverpool c 1937. Standing 116cm high, she is certainly one of the largest BCL rocking horses we have seen here. With dappled paintwork (touched in where needed to preserve her look) she is as original as we could keep her, with original cow hair mane and tail, original leatherwork and rosettes too. Her head is turned to her right, with a friendly face and glass eyes. Her fixed saddle is in good condition still, so is retained with it’s plush velvet cover too, so all in all she really looks as though she has just come out of the BCL Duke Street workshops in Liverpool. Her measurements are: Height 116 cm Width 50 cm Length 147 cm DELIVERY INCLUDED UK MAINLAND exc Highlands. Or you may view and collect from IP21 on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. Please be aware these are mostly old horses and as such may show some minor age related characteristics. All the horses however are fully rideable and solid.
