Born in Canada, Diana Thorne moved to the United States in 1917. During the following years she became one of America’s most recognized canine artists. In total she illustrated (and often authored) children’s books dealing with dogs and animal life. During the 1920’s and early 1930’s Diana Thorne was also active as an original etcher. This illustration measures approximately 5" x 5". After your purchase it will be custom matted in a black "acid free" mat, ready for your 8" x 10" frame. Like any print of this age their is some minor wear and age toning, (visible in the scan), that does not detract from the matted print. These are standard size mats that will fit into a standard size frame you can purchase at your local department store or framing gallery, no custom framing required.
