Their culture flourished from around 900 BC to around 200 BC, by which time they had extended their influence all over Central Asia from China to the northern Black Sea. This item may have been used to decorate clothing or the ornament that these nomads put on their beloved horses. They were known for their exceptional equestrian skills, and their leaders were buried with sacrificed stallions at grand funerary ceremonies Age: 500-400 B.C.
