Ford Sterling Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit

Description: Product- You get both brackets and six grade 8 bolts and zinc plated lock washers & nuts. We do NOT supply the rotors, loaded calipers (constitutes: calipers, pads and slide pins) or the flex hoses (you must run flex hoses with this kit and adapt to your hard line). All of these components except the rotors should be acquired from the front end of a mid 1970's GM 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup, the rotors should be acquired from a 96 E350 Van (Napa #4886799). Your local Napa will be able to acquire these for you or any other reputable dealer such as Rock Auto. If you need the other actual part numbers for these parts I can provide them. The calipers are the large single piston design. When installing this kit on the 94 - 98 model year rears axles the lock washers in this kit act as a spacer between the bracket and axle tube mount. The axle wheel bearing specification was changed and they used a wider bearing. By using the washer as a spacer this will offset the bracket inboard enough to compensate for this bearing. These disc brake brackets will accept the common 1976-1978 Cadillac Eldorado rear calipers. They have a built in mechanical actuated E-brake however it has been noted by past customers that if you are running 16" rims that you may need to grind these eldorado calipers slightly to gain clearance. If you run the non e-brake calipers this is not a concern as the caliper is not as tall in height giving you ample clearance. Depending on your hub you may need to source new studs and or drill the stud holes slightly larger on the hub or rotor to make them match for the stud you are using.
