Its most unique trait its beautifully upward-cupped leaves; hence, the name drinking gourd. It catches rain water in its gourd-like cup! The plant you will be receiving is one division of this plant and it will be at least 12 inches tall or taller by midsummer. Not a baby when you get it!It can be used alone as a stately stand-alone plant or as a part of a bigger garden. It has a blue cast to it and is taller than many other hostas when full grown. It boasts beautiful white blooms later, and has a more bluish tint when planted in very shady areas. I have it planted in front of my Stella D'Oro day lilies which keep reblooming all summer long.
