The “V” device is authorized if the award is made for direct participation in combat operations. Also is authorized to be worn with bronze and silver oak leaf cluster devices on the official uniform. All ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Joint Service Commendation Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
