In 2023, almost exactly FIFTY years later, they performed on their last tour, calling it 'The End of the Road'. The band went through many lineup changes through the years, but the core of bassist Gene Simmons and guitar player and lead singer Paul Stanley played on every album released. The older fans know and love original guitarist Ace Frehley and original drummer Peter Criss, and those guys will always be members of Kiss, even though they've been out of the band for many years now! Today we feature a triple shot of Kiss magazines. First up is the premier issue of the Todd McFarlane Kiss 'Pyscho Circus' graphic magazine. Like 'Heavy Metal' magazines, and illustrated with a storyline. I believe a few were made in this line, but this is number one. In color, even though it's black and white on the cover. There's tons of interesting stuff inside! In great condition, with no rips or tears, or pages dog-eared or handwritten on. Light wear on the cover, mostly on the corners and spine. Next, we have the number 2 issue of 'Kiss Magazine' from the Starlog company. Filled with MANY color pages and pics! This came out to make Kiss fans happy, and contains several interesting articles. In great condition, but with only one flaw I see. Someone wrote on the cover, what looks like the number 2. Nothing a little white-out can't fix! (I'll leave that to the buyer.) The insides looks immaculate, and the poster is in pristine condition. A really cool Kiss collectible! Last, in March of 1999, bass player Gene Simmons graced the cover of 'Playboy' magazine. One of ONLY ten males through the years to do that! (Trump was another.) Of course, Gene is with with three beautiful ladies, who are wearing the makeup of his other three band mates. Inside is an article about Kiss, and a pictorial with the 'Girls of Kiss'. (Please be 18 or over to purchase this listing.) A great collection of Kiss classic magazines, all featuring the original four members, as they were reunited and touring for the 'Psycho Circus' album. Which Ace and Peter played on, but only on a few songs. That was the end of that, but Kiss kept on going until last year, with Tommy Thayer on guitar, (and wearing Ace's makeup), and Eric Singer on drums (wearing Peter's makeup). Peter and Ace were paid for their likeness, so it's all good. Kiss will go down in history as one of our wildest, loudest, and most fun bands to see live in concert.
