Vintage About the Scarf This is a vintage 100% silk twill scarf with a golf club, sports theme and look. The primary color of the scarf is a lovely light olive green. Other colors include: white, brown, black and yellow. The scarf was made expressly for sale at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York. The outer part of the scarf is decorated with golf clubs and golf balls and the inside has a rather contemporary looking, Burberry like, check in the center. The size is 26 x 26 inches. The scarf has hand rolled/stitched edges. The scarf is in excellent vintage condition except for some water staining, some very light, an example of which can be seen in picture 12. The staining, while there, is not noticible when worn. This scarf is returnable but being silk, please handle with care. About the Kreier Company Kreier was a well-known Swiss company producing quality handkerchiefs and scarves in cotton, wool and silk, as well as home textiles and bed linens in cotton and linen. Like many textile companies, the Max Kreier AG was located in St. Gallen. It was founded in 1954 and was finally liquidated in 1996. Note: I also sell many brooches and scarf pins.
