Linda especially loved portraying children and dogs, and her very own dogs, Mary Rose and Lily, are frequent figures in her paintings. Linda Nelson Stocks talents caught the eye of Bob Lang, founder of LANG Graphics, back in 1982. They never dreamed that the calendar they first created over his kitchen table would become a beloved annual tradition, drawing legions of new collectors over the years. For more than three decades, Linda did what she loved best, painting scenes of Americana that capture the spirit and promise of the land. From rustic farm-scapes to picturesque small-town idylls, she depicted families working and celebrating together—planting gardens, tending animals, gathering in the village square, or ice-skating on frosty afternoons. Linda’s delightful portraits of town and country life captivate folk art lovers not only in the United States, but also around the world. She passed away in 2011.<<<<
