Description: Multiple Purchases Australia. See note further down. Living Dead Dolls Sadie Sweet 16 Party S28 Sealed Description Dam might just have to go outside and scream. This one I could have called MINT except for factory wrap issues and 2 very hard to see thin drag marks on the front, that dont show in pics. She has a lean to one side. This does not seem to be a loose head tie but more that they placed her like that and her crown is touching the top of the coffin inside so she is not moving from that spot. I did try a little shake and no movement. So she has that DUST issue see below, and also 2 tiny holes in the front about 1 mm wide, now I would have thought these were blow holes where the wrap just pops a hole when sealing that shouldn't be there. But now I am thinking that some of these may be bigger bits of dust / crap blowing onto the lid then when the wrap is applied it causes the hole and pops out and dissapears. Anyway I put lines where these annoying almost impossible to see drag marks are and they could have been done in the factory as well, who knows. And circled the 2 tiny holes. An no not going to circle the dust bumps, seem evenly spread around from top to bottom. So finally SHE MIGHT MAKE THE BEST SEALED DISPLAY ONE YOU WOULD FIND RIGHT NOW. or in the near future as the older they get the more they get moved around and possibly damaged. NOTE: Yes I write too much information but that is me. I have a few hundred more to sell and I like to be very good with my description but that takes tooo much time.SOOO I have a larger notes list below the description and refer to those in the general description. Latest addition is one for dammed very fine DUST? particles under the wrap, so if you see DUST in the description, see further down for what it is. Also things like DRAG marks, Stretch and others. Multiple Purchases in AustraliaIf your bidding or buying more than one, don't pay until you have finished and ask for a combined postage, however with buy it nows no matter what settings I use Ebay makes you pay the full postage for every purchase straight away. So I will refund $20 of the postage on 2 Dolls as the second one only adds $5 extra, a third adds $10 more, goes into another weight category. But still cheaper than the $24.90 individual price. And all sales have signature and insurance. GLARE and GENERAL NOTES ON PICTURESTried one of those cheap light boxes for pics, not happy still getting reflections. (Now just use the kitchen table and take pics around 10am as the sun is in a good spot then to not interfere too much) Taking pictures of LDD's has alway's driven me crazy, reflections and what not so I put up the best pic's I can get, then mark any noticeable dings scrapes etc and mark with a circle on the last pics. Some marks don't show unless you get the light reflecting from them and most are not visible from the front when displayed and most were there when I got them and many just had a bad low res picture and a description saying as new (because it was sealed) Anyway these are decent resolution pictures so you can download them and view them. *************************************************************************************************DESCRIPTION TERMS USED:- UPDATED 09-06-2024 My interpretations so may not be %100 correct terms I use different terms to describe issue’s with these rather than just say it’s okay or it’s sealed buy it. I still have a few hundred to sell in upcoming months (sold 188 in last 10 months) and some I have owned for 12 + years and %90 have been stored in a smoke, pet free home, but most I bought from some other collectors so not many are MINT condition but there are a lot of nice sealed ones as that is what I mainly collected. And why selling so many??? I am selling up a large house then looking to move into a 1 or 2 bed place interstate. So taking 600 LDD's with me is too much and I got into collecting Pullip dolls 6 years ago and will be taking over 200 of those with me. And so selling up %90 of my LDD,s now is the best thing to do, I enjoyed collecting them, but stored most in tubs, only displayed 50 or so. Time to pass them on. And why do I have multiples of some?? If I liked it I bought more, that's just me. And now I have multiples of some Pullips I like as well. BLOW HOLES:- Common in the seal joints in wrapThis is where there is a small hole generally round or oval which has formed when the doll was shrink wrapped and just forms for various reason’s. They are often also some in the sealed creases / joints. These are not like rips or scratches caused by handling. They do however impact on the overall rating of an item, as it cannot be considered MINT sealed condition. I have also seen a couple where the blow hole was almost the size of an egg but not often.BLOW HOLES that are normal: Most Coffins have 2 on the front and also a hole in the lid under it. Also generally 6 on each side, something to allow the air out while it shrinks I guess, so I won't point out theses as there supposed to be there, but sometimes there not or a couple are missing??? no idea why. DENTS DIVOTS - BUMPSSmall dents can often be hard to see as well as bumps which may be caused by a dent pushing up a part into a bump. I will note these with a circle or a glary picture to catch it. And sometimes I give up, I can see the dam thing with my eye but catching it with the camera sometimes is dam hard. Drag MarksSOOO many of these and there hard to see so wont show in a lot of pics and also not mentioned by many sellers and in there defence some may not be picky enough to notice them. Many can only be caught in the glare from a light. Viewed from the front most never show up in pics or are actually seen when you look at them from even 2 feet away. But some can be seen due to width or depth. Ones that almost rip the wrap show up better. DUST Under wrapSo I am seeing a lot of this and it can be one or 2 areas or all over the coffin. So what are those dammed very very tiny bumps under the wrap. Guess the factory didn't have air cons so they left windows open for dust to blow in. Finding this on a few dolls. Generally you cannot see what is under there so it may be a very tiny bit of dust and may even be particles of shrink wrap blowing around, hardly noticeable but there can be 1 or 2 or hundreds and can be in bunches or evenly spread. Shrink wrap when applied I would think has static electricity generated and possibly attracts any dust to it? Often the only way to see them is hold the coffin at an angle and look at it into the glare of a light. Looks like there there on a lot and on some I have previously sold they were there and I didn't notice them. And I mention this because I have multiple's of many dolls so some I see dust? under the wrap on now I have sold some of the same previously so they possibly had it as well. And if one from a series has it then the rest may or may not have it, might depend on the wind? that day or other things. GLARE. So if you see a really glary picture of an area then it may be showing a tiny DENT, DRAG MARK, RIP or other issues. I have found this can show them up the best even if it's glary as the glare reflects off the issue. Often these do not show up viewed from the front. MOISTUREOn some dolls I see what looks like moisture under the wrap often near the 2 holes on the front or near a rip on the front. It may be moisture or the residue of it with dust left or may be dirt etc under the wrap. This is generally caused by wicking which means moisture in the air condenses on the front and a drop may sit in the hole and the slips into the gap between the wrap and the lid a wicking effect, gets sucked in. Now this does not mean the doll inside is wet or smelly but it could be if it was laying flat for ages in a moist environment so it is something to consider. RIPSThese are pretty easy to see and explain, wrap can get brittle with age or displayed and UV effected. Also handling, dropping and cutting open boxes they arrive in can cause rips / cuts. These I will normally point out and circle or take a picture of that specific spot. A lot of them will probably be taped over to stop it spreading. I have done this on most that arrived ripped and some arrive taped. ScratchesLots of these, caused by handling mainly and people stacking them and dragging and dropping etc. Mine I do stack for sale ones 3 high on each other but with paper towel between them and my stored ones in tubs are bubble wrapped all around. Any nasty ones I will mention specifically or circle them in pics. They can be small or large. I consider a scratch one that almost breaks the wrap and may also have little holes / bumps along the scratch line. They dont need taping over though. STRETCH marks and imperfections in wrap (manufacturing defects or application)On some I am finding an annoying thing that shows and that is a mark about 5 to 10mm wide in the wrap which is done in the manufacturing of it or the application. It looks a little darker than the rest of the wrap like it has a strip of clear varnish over it??? Anyway seen it on a few and it goes right around the coffin so it is most likely just a stretch mark or something weird in the manufacture of the wrap, often does not show up unless you catch it at an angle with a bright light to reflect on it. Weird and annoying but it's there. It normally will run straight up the coffin, may angle slightly and go right around the coffin.Stretch Marks Fine MultipleSeeing this on some where seen under the glare of a light there is a few to dozens of fine marks running straight up the wrap. These are stretch marks of some sort or stress marks, not sure how there made, might be in the wrap or caused by excessive heat when applying it. Might be something that happens only on the first few when they start the wrapping??? Annoying but there visible on some. Normally not seen unless under a light. TAPED Bit’sThese are where someone or myself has taped over a rip or tear and blow holes normally to stop it spreading or getting caught when moving around. WRINKLE in coffin carboardI see these marks on older coffins mostly where you see a light colored line about 1 to 2 mm wide on the sides of the coffin. Seems to be the black paper covering the card board lifting, why the color change?? I don't have an open one to check. So not sure if these arrive there when made or turn up later. Gluing the black paper to the cardboard and getting wrinkles come to mind? Anyway there under the wrap and on the cardboard and usually several on a coffin if it has them. ***************************************************************************Postage.Doll will be sent bubble wrapped with tracking in a box made from 3mm MDF to survive Australia Post. She will also be fully insured. A note on our packing. The parcel will be brown paper wrapped with a heap of clear tape on it, and can be difficult to open. Best way can be to slice it with a blade carefully so you don't cut yourself. It is a 3mm thick MDF wood box and the lid clips in so you wont risk damaging the doll by just say slicing around the middle of the box from one end to another then lift the whole lot off, paper and tape. Or just slide it under the paper somewhere and run it around an edge etc. The box lid is not glued, just clipped in as it locks in a little because of the way it is made as an interlocking box, and it is held in by a couple of lots of white painters tape. The lid clips in so well that you may think it's glued or removing the white tape may lift it off, just pry up one bit near a corner with a blunt anything like a flat screwdriver blade and once it's up a bit then the rest comes up easy. The Doll is Bubble wrapped and we use white painters tape that should come off easier and also be wayyy more visible. Also as the box is laser cut from MDF the corners and edges can be sharp so don't let the kid's play with it. Previously I used to sand the points on the corners and sanded the edges a little but it is a pain so now wrap and post, with plenty of tape, you can sand it if you want to. Now enjoy your purchase and if you wish to use the box for something else like posting off a doll it's great as the box is very solid WITH the lid on and taped up, but just the box with no lid is a bit floppy and we don't go overboard on the glue so an end may fall off and you end up with things falling out if you fill it with heavy tools and want to carry it around. Thank YouTerry
