"This is the Thing from Canada" is handwritten on one on one upwardly-tapered side. "CANADA" is embossed on bases. Glossy golden brown exterior glaze, glossy rich dark brown interior glaze. At bottom is a figure of a half-nude mermaid with reddish hair and green tail, saucily stretching with one arm over her head. CANADA marked on base. Made in the mid 20th Century. Condition: No cracks, glossy glaze. HOWEVER, One flake from bottom curve of one handle, see photos of cup upside down that is close up. Each weighs 1 pound. Will be packed carefully with bubble for safest delivery.
