Description: FINGER BLADE GUARD FOR A VINTAGE DELTA 14” WOOD OR WOOD/METAL BAND SAW This is the metal guard mounted to the upper blade guide at the base of the vertical adjustment post. Delta’s part number for this metal guard is LBS-180. This is not a Delta manufacturer replacement part. We redesigned the finger guard and manufactured it from two pieces of heavy gage sheetmetal. The profiled lower part of the guard was CNC laser cut and then TIG welded to a formed sheetmetal channel.Once completed, the weldments were bright zinc plated for appearance and corrosion protection. The shipping for this guard is $6.00 to anywhere in the lower 48 States. Other locations may have to pay an additional shipping fee. We also manufacture a similarly designed guard for vintage Delta 14" band saws that have a riser kit installed. Our longer blade guard protects the operator from the extensive portion of exposed blade when the saw is used to cut normal thickness stock.
