Description: Intrigue vintage modernist (60s/70s) original figurative oil painting. Depicts two surreal female figures with long brown hair and exposed bosoms standing beside one another. The woman on the right is batting her lashes with an affectionate pose as she holds a white flower, presumably given to her by the woman beside her. Very well done with pleasing brushstrokes and wonderful capture of emotion. Medium is oil on canvas board done in an expressionist style reminiscent of that of Pablo Picasso. Unsigned. Quite worthy of further research. In Excellent overall condition with only gentle wear consistent with age. No indents, nicks or damage. Verso shows some gentle creasing to the board but fortunately this is exclusive to the verso and does not affect the painting. Ready for framing. Measures 24” x 30”.
