While many TCMA sets are actual reprints of earlier works, this card is NOT a reprint edition but an original issued in 1983.This postcard may be considered a subset to TCMA's own continuation of the popular Play Ball series which it commemorated with 1942 through 1949 issues a quarter century ago. It features the style and format of Gum, Incorporated's highly desired 1940 Play Ball series except in postcard size (approximately 3-1/2" by 5-1/2"). The card is nicely executed with in depth biography as well as space for mailing on the back. It is an important addition to the collection of any serious baseball hobbyist.Condition: Excellent or better - check the high-resolution scans; this is the actual card the buyer will receive.
