Solus, or Soluntum, was originally a Phoenician settlement on the north of the island of Sicily. The cityeventually fell to the spreading Greek Empire, before passing into the hands of the Carthaginian Empire,and after the Punic Wars, into Roman influence. This coin depicts the bust of Athena on Obverse, and writing within a wreath on Reverse.
