Description: This listing is for a 9-club set of antique vintage hickory clubs from the 1920's. These clubs were all made Walter Hagen from their stainless-steel Deluxe series. It is a matching No 301 Deluxe model set like someone would have played with back then. There is a 9 Putter, 8 Niblick, 7 Mashie Niblick, 6 Spade Mashie, 5 Mashie, 4 Mashie Iron, 3 Mid Mashie, 2 Mid Iron and 1 Driving Iron. These are all the clubs Hagen offered in a Deluxe set. These are all in very good clean condition. Apparently original shafts many of which still have most of the L A Young/Walter Hagen paper shaft decals still present. They all appear to have their original leather grips which are in good vintage condition. All of the shafts are pretty much straight except for the Spade Mashie that does have a noticeable bend. I see no cracks in any of the shafts. They are surprisingly tight at the hosels but all hickory shafts should be re-set prior to play. Please look at the multiple zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. Great for the executive to display in their office. Not the dirty normal as found sets you see offered on eBay. Great for display and a lot of hickory players play with these. They do have good heavy play weight and match well within the set, but you will have to do all the work to make them playable. You don't see matching sets offered very often. A very well-balanced set. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 14-pound 44x6x6 box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay takes almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). Because of the high dollar value there is a handling fee.
