This diffusion dome is designed to fit in a Norman 5" reflector. The frosted glass slightly softens and reduces the light output (approximately 2 f stops). It is compatible with Norman 5" reflectors on Norman LH500, LH500+, LH2000, LH2400, and LH4000 flash heads. Incorporating the RP-1 (810578) Diffusion Dome, softens the light and integrates the flashtube and modeling lamp for accurate previewing. This is especially important when using barn doors, grids and snoots. Caution: To prevent overheating your flash head, fan cooling is required if used with quartz modeling lights. Caution: Make sure the modeling lamp bulb you are using with this diffusion dome is short enough to avoid hitting the inside of the diffusion dome glass. Otherwise the bulb could crack the diffusion dome glass.
