NOS 1958 Chevy Impala Belair Biscayne 348 tri-power carb double action fuel pump

Description: New old stock GM part# 5621644 double action mechanical fuel pump we had to open for the first time for these photos. This was packed 'military spec' for government use back in that time. We are just uncovering some of the goodies left over from that era. Look at the last photos for what it looked like all sealed up, then look at the rest of the photos to see how well this was packed. According to GM parts books, this pump is for 1958 Chevrolet 348 engines with triple 2bbl carburetors. Super clean piece with correct '4490' stamped number along flange edge. As nice as it looks, a word of caution, this pump is 60 years old and could possibly be bolted up and may function for awhile, but we highly advise having it rebuilt for today's gasoline. Also, we assume the soft parts (gaskets, etc) are brittle and may not hold up even for a short time. PLEASE be sure this fits your needs before you buy - no returns.
