Description: ORIGINAL NOVEMBER 8, 1941 COLUMBIA VS UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA FOOTBALL GAME PROGRAM - GAME PLAYED SHORTLY BEFORE PEARL HARBOR ATTACK Up for auction is a November 8, 1941 Football Game Program from the Columbia vs. University of Pennsylvania Football Game at Franklin Field. This game was played a few short weeks before the Pearl Harbor Attack in Hawaii by Japan. This original program is in good used condition, considering its age and use. There are small tears throughout, the pages are lightly foxed, and the binding is questionable - not loose, but getting that way. The late owner of this program was a resident of Philadelphia at the time. The white cover features a color illustration of a Lion surrounded by Football Photos in Spheres. Again, considering the age, this program's color has held beautifully. There are many advertisements and cartoons that provide a snapshot of life in the early 1940's before the US's entrance into World War II. I will happily provide more pictures - just ask.
